Puddle Paddle

To Puddle Paddle or Not to Puddle Paddle?

That is the question!
And when you’re wearing wellies? The answer is always yes.

New Boots, New Confidence

I picked up a new pair of Wellington boots in the sales, and honestly, I’m loving the confidence they’ve given me! My old pair had a tiny hole—just small enough to let water in, but big enough to make walks uncomfortable. Cold, wet socks are no fun. So I stopped going out in the rain. I avoided the woods, where puddles gathered like little lakes across the path.

And I missed it. The trees, the ferns, the birds singing—the gentle buzz of nature.

Wading Through Thoughts

The other day, after a good downpour, I laced up my new boots and headed back into the woods. Puddles everywhere. And as I splashed along, my mind wandered, as it often does. Walking helps me make sense of things—processing thoughts while tuning into what I can see, hear, and feel.

That’s when a thought hit me:

How often do we avoid things that make us uncomfortable?
And how often do we have no choice but to wade through them anyway?
